Customers that are still experiencing errors when starting a direct message from the Chat Web search bar should refresh their browser page.

Customers can attempt to start a new direct message using the "New Chat" button.

Our engineers have implemented a mitigation for this issue and are currently validating.

Customers attempting to start a direct message chat with a new contact from the Chat Web search bar may receive the error “Can’t start a direct message right now. Try again later.”

Customers can attempt to start a new direct message using the "New Chat" button.

Mitigation work is currently underway by our engineering team.

We do not have an ETA for mitigation at this point.
